About Us
An Ethical Dog Breeder
Prairieland Paws is in Alberta, Canada, and we have been breeding French Bulldogs and Frenchtons for many years. Prairieland Paws has a unique breeding program that allows for kennel-free breeding. We believe that all our breeding dogs should be part of a family from the time they enter our care, and this family will always be their very own home, this is made possible through our guardian program. Our babies are our passion, we love each and every baby from the time they are in their mothers’ womb to the time they find their furever home. Countless hours are spent on ensuring the mother is in pristine health and has an adequate diet (with lots of extra treats) for growing such miracles. We want the healthiest babies one can pray for. Once our babies arrive, we handle all of them right from hour 1 and all the way ‘til they find that special family. We also bottle feed each one after they feed on mom with extra probiotic, prebiotics, and electrolytes. We call this the ”Top-Up Feeding Method.”, helping them to grow big and strong! We love our babies so much, that we need to let each one have cuddle time individually… this is for me and my family as well, I mean, who can resist the cuddles of cute furry puppies?
Our babies are raised under foot and are exposed to everyday life and farm life. They grow up around other dogs, birds, horses, and the odd rescue goose, bird, and small critters. To burn energy, our kennel has a large playroom with a lot of different sensory items and toys, climbing slides, and hanging distractions to keep these little minds entertained. When the weather is nice, the babies run and play in our outdoor 3-acre area, this area also boosts a variety of play items and include a pool for those hot summer days.
Our dogs and babies are members of our family, and we treat them as such. When homing our babies, we want to make sure they are going to only the very best of families. We believe that once you adopt one of our dogs, you are also a member of the Prairieland Paws family for life and will have a lifetime of breeder support.
